Colour Field

Luminous fields of colour meeting without line — atmosphere rather than subject.

Curator's statement

Colour Field treats colour itself as the subject. Large zones meet without a drawn edge, so the eye settles into the join rather than reading a shape. Held at a distance the works glow; up close they dissolve. The result is atmospheric rather than pictorial — closer to weather than to an image.

Design philosophy

Colour as subject. Large zones meeting without drawn edges; luminosity through tonal relationships, not detail.

Colour system

Deep rust, umber, dusk blue, saffron, warm grey.

Shape language

Soft-edged colour zones, horizonless fields, gentle tonal transitions.

Composition

Every piece must be a genuinely original composition. No imitation of an identifiable artist's distinctive style, no reproduction of an existing artwork, and never derived from another DALFASTART artwork.

Ideal spaces

Living rooms, galleries, hotels, meditative interiors.

Print formats

1:1, 2:3, 3:4, panoramic.
