Curator's statement
Line & Form reduces a composition to its skeleton. A single continuous line describes a shape, crosses itself, and resolves. There is almost no colour and no fill — the pleasure is entirely in the confidence of the stroke and the space it divides. Simple to live with, difficult to do well.
Design philosophy
One continuous deliberate line per composition. Minimal or no fill; the stroke and the space it divides are the work.
Colour system
Ink on bone, single accent of rust or brass.
Shape language
Continuous unbroken lines, crossing paths, described-not-drawn forms.
Composition
Every piece must be a genuinely original composition. No imitation of an identifiable artist's distinctive style, no reproduction of an existing artwork, and never derived from another DALFASTART artwork.
